ABOUT me

Rebecca Robin is a skilled clarinet performer and teacher based on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. With a deep background in music, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Clarinet Performance from The University of Southern Mississippi and a Master’s degree in Clarinet Performance from the University of Florida

Rebecca has performed in a wide range of musical settings, including orchestral, opera, and solo performances. She has had the honor of playing principal clarinet in notable works such as Beethoven's Symphony No. 8, Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, and the opera Carmen. She also performed at the 2024 Vienna Summer Music Festival, taking principal roles in The Magic Flute and Suor Angelica in Vienna, Austria. In the realm of wind band music, Rebecca performed with the University of Southern Mississippi Wind Ensemble at the 2019 CBDNA conference, conducted by Catherine Rand. 

In addition to her performance achievements, Rebecca has a wealth of teaching experience. While at the University of Florida, she served as a graduate assistant, providing private lessons and group instruction to clarinet students. She taught clarinet fundamentals in the woodwind methods class, helped organize clarinet choir rehearsals, and provided studio classes on clarinet history, pedagogy, and performance. She was recognized with a music scholarship for her contributions to the university community. 

Rebecca is passionate about helping her students reach their full potential. Whether preparing for auditions, competitions, or performances, she creates a supportive environment that encourages growth and musical exploration.
